Linear Pendant LED

The VIRA Linear Pendant LED features a slim metal housing measuring 48 in. in length with a 5/8 in. wide by 7/8 in. high profile, fitted with a continuous silica gel lens that diffuses the integrated LED source along the full length of the fixture. It is suspended from a rectangular metal canopy measuring 9-7/8 in. by 4-3/4 in. by 1-3/8 in. deep on two adjustable suspension wires of up to 72 in., for a maximum overall height of 74 in. The fixture is finished in Black throughout, including the canopy and wire fittings, for a cohesive, unbroken silhouette. VIRA is ETL listed, damp location rated, and designed for indoor use, with an operating temperature range of -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C).

The VIRA Linear Pendant LED operates on 120V line voltage and consumes 28 watts, delivering 1,600 lumens at an efficacy of 57 lm/W. Color temperature is field selectable across three settings: 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. CRI is 90 for accurate, natural color rendering. The fixture is dimmable from 10% to 100% and is tested with a published list of compatible dimmers from Leviton, Lutron, Legrand, and TP-Link. The integrated LED source is rated for L70 greater than 40,000 hours.

Choosing a color temperature: VIRA's field-selectable CCT offers three settings: 3000K, 4000K, and 5000K. 3000K is a warm white suited to residential kitchens, dining rooms, and hospitality spaces where a comfortable, inviting atmosphere matters. 4000K is a neutral white that works well in transitional spaces, open-plan kitchens, and offices that need balanced, crisp light. 5000K is a cool, daylight-like white best reserved for task-intensive areas, workrooms, or commercial settings where visual clarity takes priority.

Planning the suspension height: The adjustable suspension wires extend up to 72 in., giving VIRA the range to work under standard, raised, and vaulted ceilings. Over kitchen islands and dining tables, a common starting point is to hang the fixture roughly 30 to 36 in. above the work surface, then fine-tune for sightlines and ceiling height. Because the body is so slim, VIRA can often hang slightly lower than bulkier linear fixtures without obstructing views across the room.

Sizing for the surface below: At 48 in. long, VIRA is well proportioned for islands, dining tables, and conference tables in the six- to eight-foot range, where the fixture spans a comfortable portion of the surface without overreaching its edges. For longer surfaces, multiple fixtures can be installed end to end or in parallel to extend the line.

Dimming compatibility: VIRA dims smoothly from full output down to 10%, making it easy to move between bright task lighting and softer ambient light. SAGE Brands publishes a list of tested compatible dimmers from Leviton, Lutron, Legrand, and TP-Link on the VIRA specification sheet, including Lutron Diva and Maestro models and TP-Link smart dimmers. Select a dimmer from this list and confirm compatibility with your electrician prior to installation.

Damp location rating: VIRA is rated for damp locations, meaning it can be installed in interior areas exposed to moisture or humidity, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. It is designed for indoor use only and should not be installed in exterior or covered outdoor locations.

Ordering logic: VIRA is offered as a single configuration: order by family name, VIRA. Color temperature is set in the field, and the fixture ships in Black, so no additional CCT, size, or finish codes are required. This single-SKU structure simplifies specification and stocking across multi-unit or multi-room projects.
