The BOREA-L housing is constructed of steel, ABS, and PP components, finished in white to sit cleanly against most ceiling finishes. It mounts as a recessed fixture, supporting both retrofit installations into existing ceilings and new construction rough-in, and connects to standard 4" round ducting.

The fixture is rated for damp locations, suiting the humidity and temperature demands of bathroom and utility space installations, and is IC-rated for direct contact with insulation — simplifying installation in insulated ceiling assemblies without the clearance requirements of non-IC-rated fans. Cut-out and trim dimensions vary between the 8-inch and 10-inch versions to accommodate different ceiling openings and coverage areas; confirm the specific model's cut-out dimensions against the ceiling opening before installation.

The BOREA-L operates on 120VAC and pairs an AC motor with an integrated 15W light kit; the 8-inch model draws 20W at the fan and delivers 80 CFM of airflow at 1.1 sones, while the 10-inch model draws 25W at the fan and delivers 100 CFM at 1.2 sones. The light kit's color temperature is field selectable across five settings — 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K — delivering 1200 lumens at the 4000K setting. 

Choosing between the 8-inch and 10-inch BOREA-L: The 8-inch BOREA-L is well suited to powder rooms and smaller bathrooms, delivering effective ventilation at a quieter 1.1 sone rating. The 10-inch model moves more air at 100 CFM, making it the better fit for larger primary bathrooms or spaces with higher humidity loads, at a comparably quiet 1.2 sones. Match fan size to room square footage and local code-required air changes when specifying.

Choosing a color temperature: The BOREA-L's field-selectable CCT range spans warm 2700K through cool 5000K, letting the light kit be tuned to match adjacent fixtures or the desired mood of the space. Warmer settings suit relaxed, residential bathroom environments, while cooler settings support task-oriented grooming and vanity lighting.

IC rating and damp location performance: The BOREA-L's IC rating allows direct contact with ceiling insulation, simplifying installation in insulated assemblies without maintaining additional clearance. Its damp location certification makes it appropriate for the humidity and temperature swings typical of bathroom and utility space installations.
