SW-ECO
Static White LED Tapelight
Lynx
The SW-ECO Static White LED Tapelight from Lynx Linear Lighting brings high-efficiency illumination to cove and perimeter lighting, architectural back lighting, walls and surfaces, stairs and walkways, decorative signage, and channel letter applications. As part of the Static-White family, each reel is manufactured to a single fixed color temperature, giving specifiers a dedicated, consistent white-light output.
What distinguishes the SW-ECO within the Lynx tape lineup is its efficiency: light output per watt holds steady across all four power tiers, meaning designers can move to a higher-output tier for a brighter application without sacrificing efficiency along the way. Color consistency is held to a MacAdams ellipse standard, minimizing visible color variation within and between reels, and the tape is available across a wide span of static-white color temperatures to match a range of design intents.
Built for demanding environments, the SW-ECO is available in IP20 for protected interior installations and IP67 for wet-location and direct-exposure use, and it carries UL, cUL, CE, and RoHS approval along with a five-year warranty. It is suited to both indoor and outdoor installation.
Each reel mounts via a 3M adhesive backing and is cut-to-length in the field, with a maximum continuous run of 16 ft. 4 in. per reel. Board-to-board and corner connectors extend runs and turn corners without splicing, and the tape pairs with SAGE-recommended constant voltage drivers for reliable, dimmable operation.

The SW-ECO is built on a flexible LED circuit board with 3M adhesive backing for direct-surface mounting. It is offered in two constructions: an open-face IP20 format for protected interior channels and surfaces, and a silicone-jacketed, round-tube IP67 format with sealed end caps for wet-location and direct-exposure installations. Minimum channel width is 8mm (0.315") for IP20 and 12mm (0.472") for IP67, and should be confirmed against the mounting channel or extrusion before ordering. Each reel runs up to 16 ft. 4 in. and is cut-to-length in the field. The SW-ECO is UL, cUL, CE, and RoHS approved and backed by a five-year warranty.
The SW-ECO operates on 24V DC constant voltage input, compatible with SAGE-recommended constant voltage LED drivers. Available across four power tiers, the tape draws between 1.5 and 5.9 watts per foot depending on model, delivering between 175 and 701 lumens per foot, all at a consistent efficacy of 120 lm/W. Color temperature is available in five static-white settings — 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 6500K — selected at the time of order rather than adjustable after installation. CRI is 90+, with chromaticity held to a 3-Step MacAdams Ellipse for color consistency across the run.
Part of the Lynx Linear Lighting collection: The SW-ECO is part of the Lynx Linear Lighting portfolio from SAGE Brands, a division focused on flexible tape, neon flex, and linear lighting solutions for cove, accent, and architectural applications. Its connector accessories and driver compatibility are shared across the broader Lynx linear product line, simplifying specification when multiple linear runs are used on the same project.
Understanding the SW-ECO's high-efficacy design: At 120 lm/W across every power tier, the SW-ECO delivers more light per watt than several other tapes in the Lynx lineup. In practical terms, that means lower energy draw and less heat generated for a given light output — useful on projects where energy codes, operating costs, or driver sizing are a concern, and it holds true whether specifying the lowest or highest output tier.
Understanding 3-Step MacAdams Ellipse: A MacAdams ellipse describes the range of color variation the human eye can detect around a target color point; a 3-step ellipse holds color consistency to a standard tighter than typical off-the-shelf LED tape, while allowing slightly more manufacturing tolerance than a 1-step spec. For most installations this delivers visually consistent color without the tighter (and costlier) binning of a 1-step product.
Choosing between IP20 and IP67: The IP20 construction is designed for protected interior applications — cabinetry, coves, and channels where the tape is shielded from moisture and direct handling. The IP67 construction adds a sealed silicone jacket and end caps, making it suitable for wet locations, exterior architectural work, and any installation where washdown, humidity, or direct water exposure is a factor. Confirm the correct construction for the installation environment before ordering, as channel width requirements differ between the two.
Selecting a power tier: The four available tiers span low-output accenting through higher-output cove and signage applications, and because efficacy holds constant across all of them, the choice comes down entirely to the light level the application needs rather than any efficiency trade-off.
Choosing a color temperature: The SW-ECO is available in five static-white settings — 2700K and 3000K for warm, residential-feeling applications, 3500K and 4000K for neutral commercial and retail settings, and 6500K for a cool, high-contrast white often used in signage and task-adjacent accent lighting. Because color temperature is fixed at the time of order, confirm the desired CCT against the project's other fixtures before placing the order.
Driver and dimming compatibility: The SW-ECO pairs with SAGE's recommended constant voltage drivers — the D-60W, D-96W, and D-300W, each offering 5-in-1 dimming compatibility, or the D-60W-ND for non-dimming applications. When sizing a driver, total the wattage per foot across the full run and select a driver with adequate headroom above that load; larger installations may require multiple drivers or runs.
Ordering logic: Use the format SW-ECO-[Power]-[CCT]-[IP Rating]-[Length], for example SW-ECO-1-27-IP20-ST, which specifies the 1.5W/ft tier in 2700K, IP20 construction, at standard 16 ft. 4 in. cut-in-field length. Connector accessories are ordered separately using the format CN-[Accessory Code], such as CN-BTCB8 for a board-to-board connector with cable, and should be specified based on the number of splices, corners, and power feed points required for the run.
