Junction Box Emergency

JBEM is a junction box equipped with an integral constant power emergency battery backup that provides 90 minutes of emergency lighting for 120V surface mount downlights (maximum fixture wattage of 18W) in dry or damp locations. Designed for versatility across SAGE product families, JBEM is compatible with SPR (up to 9"), SPR-WL (5", 7", 9"), SPR-WL-CR, SPR-MS, SDL-G2, and SDL-WL fixtures.

The junction box is engineered for fast, straightforward installation, featuring vertical mounting brackets that secure directly to structure and multiple conduit knockouts on three sides for flexible wiring. Fixtures with 2.75" or 3.5" ceiling mounting brackets attach directly to the bottom of the junction box after electrical connections are completed, streamlining installation in the field.

JBEM includes a convenient 2-in-1 test switch with an integrated green charging indicator light, which can be mounted to the ceiling or fixture housing for easy access and visibility. The emergency driver meets or exceeds NEC, IBC, and Life Safety Code emergency lighting requirements, and complies with CA Title 20 battery charge efficiency standards.
